Bottom Line: 1Password is an excellent password manager with one of the best. Therefore, no WS-based anything works while their app is running. But one thing that never occurred to them is WebSockets. Overall, 1Password is a powerful password manager. Unfortunately, it was written by idiots who only opened the ports on the proxy that they felt like opening, so 80, 22, 443, etc are open. So I guess I agree that the UI makes a pretty big difference. It was probably good enough to switch, but I need them to polish up the UI a bit more first. The browser extensions are a game-changer, making it super easy to fill in passwords and save new ones. Whether you're on desktop or mobile, 1Password offers a seamless experience. The UI is clean, modern, and easy to navigate. BW UI isnt bad, to be clear, but 1PW is better. It's like having a personal security guard for your digital life. 1PW pros: Superior UI, particularly on iOS and MacOS. You can host BW yourself with no reliance on cloud services.
If you do need to pay, its MUCH cheaper than 1Password (and Lastpass). To accomplish that, this app sets itself up as a proxy in order to grab the media as it's coming in. I used Bitwarden exclusively for 1 month last year thinking I might switch from 1Password due to subscription burnout. BW pros: Most people can use Bitwarden completely free. edit: Just to clarify, the creators of 1Password do not store any of your information.
